In a press release issued today regarding the intimidation by Fantino that was reported here earlier this week, Toby Barrett revealed that Natives gave him an eviction notice at his home.
The Natives have been telling us for over 2 years that they have no interest in anything but new development, and now we learn that they’ve tried to evict our MPP from his home! How much more arrogant and obscene can you get?
This of course raises serious questions.

August 26, 2008 - Updated August 29, 2008 with comments from Toby Barrett.
When Julian Fantino was caught making threats to Haldimand council in 2007, there was hope that his reign as commissioner would be brought to an end. Mayor Trainer went on TV and radio to help expose the story, and even mainstream media started wondering if Julian should be fired.
Unfortunately Councilor Grice who had been specifically targeted by Fantino for daring to speak freely decided to do what he felt was right for his political career instead of what was right for his constituents by refusing to sign a police service complaint, and the story faded away before Fantino could be held accountable.

Now that documents have been released detailing the testimony of Julian Fantino at an August 29 2007 court hearing for Shawn Brant, and transcripts of recorded phone calls between Fantino and Brant from the June 29, 2007 “day of action”, we are able to gain a rare glimpse into the mind of Ontario’s “top cop”.
We know that Julian is a bully when there’s a camera or microphone around to show off for, and we know that when dealing with anything remotely associated with CANACE, he is prone to making bizarre statements about violence and agenda’s that exist only in his head, but what’s he like when he’s dealing with a Native and thinks nobody is listening?

As reported by the Brantford Expositor yesterday, OPP commissioner Julian Fantino paid a visit to a longhouse meeting to chat with Confederacy chiefs on Friday.
That alone is not earth shattering news as Fantino has stated in the past that he visits the area to dine with Native leaders and visit his friends on DCE, but this time he didn’t come for dinner and he was not bearing a bottle of wine.
What’s ground breaking about this story is that Julian allegedly told the Natives that the Ontario Provincial Police might enforce the law and arrest criminals regardless of their skin color!

A hastily convened Longhouse meeting took place Friday between native Confederacy chiefs and Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner Julian Fantino. (Edit: Who has been backed into a corner like a rat)
Fantino seemed to warn Confederacy leaders about the implications of the injunction the City of Brantford is trying to obtain in court this month.
“He said if an injunction comes down, the OPP will have to follow it and make arrests,” said a native person who attended the meeting but asked not to be identified in print.
Two OPP lawyers also appeared at the first hearing of the injunction in Brantford court on Friday, even though the city’s injunction doesn’t apply to land policed by the OPP.
When Fantino left the native longhouse, he found someone had put a native Warrior sticker on his vehicle, which he stopped to remove.
In an interview earlier this week, Fantino said the OPP are looking into the fees being charged by the Haudenosaunee Development Institute, which is demanding payments from developers. Fantino said those fees are just one of a number of delicate matters the OPP is reluctantly handling.

CALEDONIA-A tension-filled native blockade on a highway overpass has ended peacefully.
“It’s fantastic,” said Haldimand Mayor Marie Trainer after the barricade on Highway 6 was taken down around 2 p.m. yesterday. “We’re pleased, glad that cooler heads prevailed.”
Her comments came a day after she had expressed fears that some members of her community might take the law into their own hands out of frustration.
No charges were laid after the five-day protest.

Six Nations protesters say they have no immediate plans to open the Highway 6 bypass.
For a while this afternoon it looked as if the barricades might come down. But when protesters found out the OPP had not backed down at another protest near Deseronto, Ont. the decision was made to continue to stand firm.
The protesters are continuing to block the Highway 6 bypass today after police backed off an attempt to clear the road last night.

OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino made an interesting move yesterday in an effort to counter the Caledonia residents protesting outside of his Woodbridge home. He created a second headline for the media, and I’ll leave it to you to decide which one was more news worthy.
Headline 1: Caledonia residents protest at OPP Commissioners home
Headline 2: Cop visits donut shop.

Julian Fantino will soon get another chance to use his beloved term “interlopers”, only this time it won’t be Gary McHale, Mark Vandermaas, and myself he’s targeting. A convoy of Caledonia residents who have grown tired of being ignored by the Commissioner will be heading to Fantino’s neighborhood this Sunday March 2 to exercise their legal right to peaceful protest.

Having presumably filled his quota for harassing drivers in Toronto this month, Julian Fantino granted an interview to the Hamilton Spectator regarding Caledonia, and his relationship with the criminals at DCE.
“He says he frequently meets with native leaders, eats meals with them and works on establishing a personal relationship.
Developing that trust, that dialogue, that face-to-face relationship with people … that’s why I’m spending the kind of personal time that I am. Because I want to know these people and I want them to know me, personally. I want to know them by first name. I want to be able to call them on their cell phone number as they’re able to call me. I want to be on the front end of any potential flare-up and that’s worked very, very well for us.
Fantino says his relationship with the Six Nations community is so strong, they’ve allowed him on occupied land no other white person has tread upon since the conflict began at Douglas Creek Estates some 21 months ago.”

When I ended yesterday’s scoop on Fantino about to have another fit with the ridiculous question “How long before he blames the lack of a settlement of the invalid claim to DCE on Gary McHale?” I meant it to be a joke, but apparently Julian liked the premise.
To quote the Spectator article from today “Each time McHale stages a production in Haldimand County, everyone leaves the negotiating table to deal with his antics. How is this helpful?” Clearly intimation that we are somehow responsible for stalling negotiations.
Reading today’s Spectator, I was immediately fascinated by the sight of page 4. Grouped together are a set of 3 stories that give a lot of insight into why there is such a high cost for policing in Caledonia.

The Hamilton Spectator
Toronto (Nov 8, 2007)
The cost of policing the native land occupation in Caledonia has reached $32 million.
All by himself, the town’s infamous “interloper,” Gary McHale, has racked up a bill of more than half a million.
That’s $500,000-plus spent to police his rallies. To shut down his flag-raisings. To watch over his stump speeches. To keep him and some supporters in jail overnight. To deal with a guy who travels from his condo in Richmond Hill every week to “stir things up” in a town that doesn’t need to be stirred any more.
That’s the way OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino sees it anyway.
It takes Fantino just three and a half minutes into an interview at his downtown Toronto office to offer up, unsolicited, the cost of policing McHale. This is at his fingertips. It takes someone else at the OPP to hunt down the $32-million figure.
This is Fantino on the attack.
Anybody who has been following the native protests in Caledonia since February 2006 knows the dispute between self-appointed watchdog McHale, who runs a controversial website critical of the OPP’s conduct in the town, and no-nonsense Fantino is nearly as heated as the land-claim issue itself. The critic and the cop have been trading barbs and legal threats publicly ever since Fantino stepped in as commissioner one year ago.

In a story that will soon be run by the Hamilton Spectator, Julian Fantino has decided to take a day off from his duties as the most over paid traffic cop in the Country to try once again to divide the residents of Caledonia.
His nature as a bully simply does not allow him to understand that he can not win a battle against truth and justice, so he’s about to announce that under his orders, the OPP have wasted $500 Thousand of your tax dollars to prevent a Canadian flag from being hung on a hydro poll in Caledonia.
He will no doubt say that Gary McHale is somehow responsible for that absurd cost, but don’t allow your intelligence to be insulted by such a claim. Take the time to review the facts so you can make the educated judgment of this announcement that Fantino desperately wants to avoid.
The OPP have chosen to disobey the Supreme Court at great cost to you:

CaledoniaWakeUpCall and VoiceofCanada have obtained a copy of the Statement of Claim for a $12,000,000 lawsuit against Gwen Boniface, Julian Fantino, Brian Haggith and the Province of Ontario by Caledonia residents Dave Brown and Dana Chatwell.
One very important part of the lawsuit filed against the OPP and Government by Dave Brown and Dana Chatwell, is the suffering that they have endured at the hands of the DCE protestors and the OPP who are supposed to protect them. These people have been denied very basic rights that we are all entitled to and any of us could be next so we should pay careful attention to this. Under the McGuinty / Fantino regime this could easily happen to anyone living in Ontario. My comments will be italic as we look once again at the official court documents:
The occupation by the protestors of Douglas Creek Estates has received wide local and national coverage since the beginning of the occupation on February 28, 2006.
The prolonged occupation by the protestors, which has been allowed by the defendants in contravention of the respective duties, has created an impression among prospective purchasers of property in Caledonia and the surrounding area that Caledonia is not a safe community.
As a result of the public nuisance for which the owner of Douglas Creek Estates, the Minister of Infrastructure and Renewal is responsible, and as a result of the negligence of the OPP, Commissioners Boniface and Fantino and Inspector Haggith, the false imprisonment and assault and battery of Brown, the trespass and illegal surveillance, and as a result of the misfeasance in the public office of the Minister of Infrastructure and Renewal, Commissioners Boniface and Fantino, Inspector Haggith, the Minster of Aboriginal Affairs, the Minister of Community Safety, and Correctional Service, and the Attorney General for Ontario, the plaintiffs have suffered the following damages:

Police say they were caught off-guard by a confrontation that seriously injured a homebuilder Thursday afternoon at a disputed Caledonia subdivision.
“Had we seen something taking place, we would have definitely stepped in,” said OPP Sergeant Dave Rektor.
The assault took place at the “exact opposite end” of a construction site where a protest, watched by police, was taking place, he said.
“We had no visual on this house at all, nor was there any reason to believe we needed to,” he said. “We don’t have a crystal ball, we can’t predict where fights are going to break out.” (Edit: They were too busy protecting the criminals from residents to protect Sam Gualtieri from attempted murder)

Hearing late this afternoon that an illegal Native occupation in Caledonia had turned vicious and seen a local developer attacked and hospitalized by the Native Criminals, I spent the evening on the scene.
I arrived shortly before the OPP set up a barricade to keep residents away from their homes and to ensure that any non Natives could not walk down this public street, so I was able to stay behind that police line all evening.
When the criminal occupiers agreed to leave, some Native youth decided they were going to do their own land claim. While the OPP played bodyguard, they climbed a large dirt hill and planted a Warrior flag. Native elders were allowed in to bring food and water to the children who were dressed in typical warrior garb with masks and camouflage.

As first reported on www.caledoniawakeupcall.com, someone out there has started releasing the DCE / OPP radio transmission tapes. What’s been published thus far is just a small sample of the countless hours of tape that exist, but it’s a powerful example of the way the DCE Criminals figuratively and literally walk all over the OPP.
I strongly urge everyone to listen to these before the McGuinty government and the OPP make them disappear. http://www.listentotruth.blogspot.com/
The first of the tapes demonstrates clearly the double standard the OPP use to enforce the joke of a 100′ “no go zone” around DCE. Officers have threatened to arrest me personally for trying to get within 200′ of this area with a camera but in this clip we hear them observing Natives in the zone armed with a bat, a pipe, and a club with a blade on the end of it. No effort is made to stop or question them of course.
The second lets us listen in as the OPP talk about hearing gunshots and determine them to be coming from “behind that residence on the DCE”. The same OPP who have claimed there are no gunshots and residents were hearing firecrackers.
The third lets us listen in as the OPP watch Natives from DCE trespass on private property to steal someone’s Canadian flags. They make no effort to stop this crime, and when the Natives get upset the OPP leave the scene so they can continue their criminals act in peace.

Editorial - Who do we pay taxes to?I’m very confused. Mr. Quattrociocchi has done everything proper and legal, like all good tax-paying citizens should.
Why didn’t the police remove the illegal trespassers?
Why isn’t our government and police protecting the rights of good tax-paying, law-abiding citizens?
Since when did we require permission from the multitude of Six Nations groups to build on our own land?

CALEDONIA (Sep 7, 2007)
Native activist Janie Jamieson warned about possible local “repercussions” if the OPP tries to expel native protesters from a proposed uranium mine site in eastern Ontario.
In an e-mail this week, Jamieson told Prime Minister Stephen Harper there’d be “repercussions at Six Nations” if the 70-day native occupation at Sharbot Lake near Kingston ends in “bloodshed.”
“It wasn’t meant as a threat to make people afraid. It’s a fact,” Jamieson stated yesterday during a ceremony at the former Douglas Creek Estates honouring native activist (Edit: Terrorist) Dudley George.
On a plaque presented to his brother Pierre George yesterday, Dudley was remembered as a warrior who had fulfilled his duty by protecting the land of his ancestors against the “uninvited.” (Edit: That’s right Janie. Use your Martyr as an excuse for more Terrorism)
