Native extremists are preparing to launch an attack on the city of Brantford according to the latest report from the Expositor. “They’re going to have one hell of a fight now,” said Steve Powless, who spoke on behalf of the protesters. “This is going to be Caledonia Part 2. They don’t understand what they’re in for.”
Mr. Powless was recently quoted calling for “war” if Brantford police tried to enforce the interim injunction issued to prevent Natives from illegally occupying land and interfering with lawful construction on private property.
It stands to reason then that after the events of this morning, an occupation and subsequent attack on the innocent people of Brantford is imminent at least in the mind of Mr. Powless, but what exactly happened to trigger this outrage?
According to Brantford police, two concrete trucks bringing loads to the Kingspan development site in Brantford were blocked by an as yet unidentified Native this morning at approximately 8:30am. As Kingspan is one of the sites named in the interim Injunction, the Brantford police had no choice but to confront the man when the trucks returned around 9:45am, and as they approached to arrest him, he punched one of the officers in the face.
Most living in our society understand this to be unacceptable behavior and would expect to be arrested for attacking a cop, but members of this group of Native extremists who believe themselves to be superior to the rest of us and above any law they wish to break are having a tantrum that any police force would dare to enforce the law when there’s a Native involved.
A statement released earlier this evening from Derek McElveny, Chief of Police, Brantford Police Service followed the brand of rhetoric that’s been coming out of Fantino since his appointment as commissioner which is no surprise to me as I’ve seen the Brantford Police in “action”.
With the apparent spokesman for the Natives calling for “war”, the chief of police for Brantford talking about land claims negotiation, the City Council calling for the military and useless OPP to be put on standby, and the “Haldimand Tract Good Neighbor Coalition” calling for appeasement, the small group of us that are left calling for the end of race based policing are left wondering what’s going to happen next.

Hope you guys are in the trees filming this one. There has never been a peaceful protest in Brantford and that is because those who choose to protest do not have peace in there hearts.
For every action that these people choose to take that brakes the law should be a lawfull reaction to counter any further damages or violance. Laws must be upheld and strong morals must be applied to continue a safe and just humanity.
On second thought Jeff please stay away from this mess, last December was quite enough.
I agree it has the potential to get messy, but the Natives are well aware that the city is lobbying to have the Military on stand by so they know very well that in theory that’s what they could be up against. On the other hand you have the Government giving them every reason to believe that any and all behavior no matter how deplorable will be tolerated strictly because of their race.
I appreciate your concern for my well being, but someone has to stand up for what’s right and I think we’ve proven that we’re not going to be scared away from the front lines.
I do however hope that these ridiculous statements Mr. Powless has been giving the papers prove to be nothing more than hot air because absoloutely no good can come from a violent uprising in Brantford, or anywhere else for that matter.

Warrior did you by chance misunderstand the title of this editorial to be a request for extremists like yourself to gather and comment?
I appreciate that you’re clearly following all of my writing these days, but if you’re angling to be my new best friend this is probably not the way to do it.
Although I feel that explaining these simple facts will be as effective as talking to a brick wall, I’m compelled to try to impart just a few things to you sir.
#1 I did not come off of a boat no matter how much you want to believe so. I was born here and I’m a Native to this Country. Before you start whining again about how I’m an immigrant to this land, I should point out that I know your comments are coming from a computer in the STATES so who are you to talk to me about who belongs in Canada?
#2 Your idea that Kingspan wants to test weapons on someone in Brantford is the dumbest I’ve ever heard.
#3 I fail to see what it is that I’m supposed to be afraid of aside maybe from having to try to decipher your ramblings. If you knew the history of my involvement in this situation you would know that I have already been attacked and seriously injured during a protest of an illegal Native smoke shack, and efforts to intimidate myself and those i work with have been going on for about 2 years now with NO effect.
Sad really, as I don’t recall anyone bring colour into their comments but one. With zero respect for people you don’t even know I wonder what you would say warrior if you actually knew Jeff.

I really don’t believe that this person would ever want to know me in a way that could threaten his perception of who I am which for the moment appears to be based purely on my skin color. If I’m wrong about that then Warrior is free to contact me anytime to get some dialogue going.

Let’s see if you can set aside your hatred for me long enough to explain what it is that’s fuelling your rage. Please explain to us why you think it’s acceptable to settle problems with violence or other criminal behavior.
To solve this problem the government should simply pay them for the land in question that is if there is any legal foot to stand on. Then tax the natives just like everyone else. If they want retribution for these issues then they should not be subsidized for everything on top of it. If they don’t like being taxed, they stay out of our community because that is how our society operates.
