UPDATE: March 1st 2010. As most know, the site hosting the tapes was down around the time I originally posted this article. That was perhaps due to a glitch of some kind and the tapes are all once again active for your listening pleasure.

This is a topic that we’ve discussed before, but a growing number of people are coming to this site by searching for the tapes, and many are taking the time to listen to them for what may be the first time. Also we have a new found audience among the media who are hungry for information regarding Caledonia, and these tapes are certainly worthy of their attention.

During the tumultuous summer of 2006, while under siege from a group of extremists, some clever residents of Caledonia uncovered the code for the radios of the self proclaimed “DCE Security” and began recording. What they captured was Natives talking about shooting police officers, interfering with the pursuit of a vehicle that refused to stop for the OPP, interfering with the routing of an ambulance, interfering with a shots fired investigation on the sixth line road, talking about shooting the driver of a truck who mistakenly turned into the entrance of DCE, and much more.

The tapes were given to Gary McHale who made them available to the media at a time when people like Fantino were proclaiming that all was quiet in Caledonia so long as the “outsiders” stayed away.

After hearing multiple death threats issued, the CBC decided they wanted to do a documentary on the matter. This was pulled just hours before it was to air, and the tapes seemed set to fade into obscurity because for any of us to publish these recordings would open us up to substantial fines from the CRTC according to reliable sources at the time.

In September 2007, someone created a website on which excerpts of the tapes were posted. The site consists purely of DCE tapes content and it appears that the administrator has not updated it in any way since then. Much as I did in 2007, I would like to thank the person responsible for taking the risk to get them in the public domain.

I would strongly encourage anyone who has not yet done so to go and listen to  the tapes for yourself here.

You can be sure that if residents were able to crack the code, the OPP had already done it and was well aware of the threats being made. Rather than issuing a press release informing the public of the serious danger posed by the DCE thugs, the OPP opted to downplay the situation at every turn and tried to convince the public that everything was calm and peaceful.

An in depth description of the content of the tapes is available in my original post, and on the site hosting them.

Focus Ontario had a great opportunity to sit down with Julian Fantino this week and ask the tough questions with him in studio. There was no place to run, no place to hide, and they absolutely blew it.

Julian sputtered out his usual rhetoric for about 4 minutes as the host sat and listened rather quietly. The song and dance about peacekeeping (are we a failed state?) and being “the meat in the sandwich” gave way only briefly to some new bold lies about arrests, investigations, and a claim that nobody is getting away with anything.

But you’re here because you want to see the interview, so here it is. (more…)

With all of the headway CANACE has been making in bringing an end to race based policing in Ontario, I was somewhat surprised to learn today that the signs of another illegal occupation are beginning to surface. This time it’s not small town Ontario, but in Oka Quebec where the Canadian military had to be called in to quell Mohawk Warriors (a terrorist organization) in 1990.

The Oka crisis had many familiar hallmarks of Caledonia. An illegal occupation to prevent development on private land, a lack of action by the local police until it was too late, a riot, the blockade of a prominent highway, and a government that wanted to keep its hands clean of the situation.

The primary differences are that the Mohawk warriors murdered a police officer with a gunshot to the face, and the military was subsequently brought in to quell the riot. Extensive history of Oka can be found online so long as one is able to weed through the pro criminal propaganda.

The issue in 1990 was the expansion of a golf course, and today it’s development of land right across the street. Thus far media coverage is somewhat limited, but we’re hopeful that many more details will come out soon. Here’s what we know so far.

We’ve all grown accustomed to hearing the same tired rhetoric from Julian Fantino anytime Caledonia is mentioned to him by the media, so it’s no shock to hear him using the same material now that he’s been criminally charged as he used 2 years ago. “Meat in the sandwich” “Difficult and complicated situation” “officer discretion” “keeping the peace” all the usual nonsense, but now that he’s been served with a summons, and backed by his boss Dalton McGuinty, he’s not surprisingly been emboldened and is taking his spew to a whole new level.

In an interview conducted for the TV show Focus Ontario, Fantino has shifted from questionable remarks to very bold lies. Since the show does not air until this Saturday January 23, we don’t yet have access to the majority of his statements, but what we have heard in excerpts is very disturbing.

Every criminal occurrence that has happened in Caledonia has either resulted in a person or persons being arrested, warrants of arrest being issued or ongoing investigations being pursued” As absurd as that is, it gets even worse. “No one has gotten away with anything

As we’ve been taking a look at the various media outlets lately who have finally caught on to what’s happening in Caledonia, I think it’s only fair that we have a look at one who still has it all so wrong.

The Toronto Star published an editorial today called much ado about Fantino” in which they make a bunch of classic, misinformed statements. It should be noted that I was unable to find the name of the author anywhere in the story, or on the website of the Star.

“Fantino and the OPP, who have been working hard to lower the temperature in the Caledonia conflict, do not appreciate McHale’s efforts.”

How would you renovate a $400,000 home that you had just purchased? A new kitchen or bathroom, perhaps some nice shrubbery or maybe a simple welcome mat would suffice? If you’re Dalton McGuinty you tear it to the ground. After all it’s only taxpayer’s money he’s playing with here, and with a running tab of $80 Million that we know of and counting, what’s another half a mil right?

As part of their out of court settlement with the Liberals, Dave Brown & Dana Chatwell signed Chatwell’s childhood home over to McGuinty once they had finished moving into a much nicer neighbourhood than the DCE. This took place on January 14, and by evening the government had moved in and posted signs warning of supposed asbestos.

By morning a demolition crew was hard at work razing the house to the ground. None of the workers were wearing any sort of respiratory protection, and the signs warning of asbestos were nowhere to be found. Funny how truly awful the McGuinty government is at maintaining its own web of lies.

With a few strokes of the pen, it appears that the McGuinty government is once again set to cover for their appointed civil rights destructor, Julian Fantino. Mr. Fantino told the media just days ago that he intends to “vigorously” defend himself against the criminal charge he’s facing as a result of his threatening email to Haldimand council in 2007, but the crown (an employee of the McGuinty Liberals) appears to be quickly taking steps to subvert the efforts of CANACE and a superior court judge to see Mr. Fantino face the music.

After being cleared of any wrong doing by Monte Kwinter before an investigation into complaints against him had been written, Fantino was emboldened to continue to his campaign against the charter rights and freedoms of non-Native citizens in Ontario, and escalated both his rhetoric against us, and his orders to oppress us. See FantinoGate, this site, Caledoniawakeupcall.com, voiceofcanada, & CANACE for in depth coverage of his attacks on democracy.

We have always had faith in the justice system to uphold the laws that the OPP have refused to, and as such we moved the battle to restore law and order into the courts in January 2008. It began with my efforts to see a Haldimand councillor charged after an assault on me, and exploded into superior court where judges have upheld our beliefs and consistently rebuked the crown for their position that OPP officers and government officials are not subject to the law during a Native land claim.

rollies_worse_for_health_study_1477525218Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Toby Barrett is calling on both the provincial and federal governments to reduce taxes on legal cigarettes in order to tackle the ever present problem of contraband cigarettes being sold out of makeshift shacks. According to Mr. Barrett, the main reason why the contraband cigarette trade exists is the high taxes on legal cigarettes. Cut taxes and you dry up the contraband trade. Sounds good? Not really.

First, governments would never be able to sufficiently lower cigarette taxes to make legal cigarettes competitive. I have spoken with RCMP officials in Cornwall, an area that makes the contraband cigarette trade in Caledonia look miniscule, and they say lowering taxes would have little effect. There’s a difference of about $50 to $60 per carton, at least, and no government will give up that much money. Ontario alone took in just over 1.2 billion dollars in revenue from cigarette taxes in fiscal 2007-2008, Canada took in over 2.6 billion for the same period and all provinces and federal revenue for 2007-2008 was just under 7 billion dollars. Taxes would be raised somewhere else to make up for any shortfall, especially in the tough economic times of today when governments are scrambling for money anyways. Lower tax here only mean we would all end up paying higher taxes somewhere else. Just what we need in tough economic times.

Much has been said both in the media and in every coffee shop I’ve been to lately about the current course of action being taken by the OPP to put a crimp in the contraband tobacco trade in Caledonia. Some think it’s great that something is being done, and some think it’s absurd that only non Natives are being targeted by the racially motivated OPP. I think it’s time for a different perspective.

In 2007, a man planted a trailer on some land bordering a small town and started selling crack cocaine out of it. At first it only had a few customers and people tried to ignore it but everyone knew what it was and nobody was pleased. The local police said they were investigating but no arrest was made.

Before long, a drug deal gone bad lead to a psycho with an illegal military assault weapon shooting the place up and an employee was hospitalized with a hole blown clear through his arm. The man who opened fire on this place in the middle of the afternoon with a prohibited weapon was arrested and eventually given a slap on the wrist.

It’s no secret to anyone who has been keeping up with National let alone Caledonia related news lately that some residents have had enough of the lawlessness being endorsed by the OPP and have decided to form an unarmed militia to defend their town. The story has set a fire under National media who have been absent for a long time as the Caledonia crisis continues to unfold.

The newfound attention was bound to come with strings attached however and it has. Some of the media are doing their best to shine a negative light on this as they would anything else residents did to resist the rampant racist lawlessness that has been shoved down their throats for more than 3 years by Native extremists and OPP enablers while the McGuinty government funnels money in the back door to keep the whole production going.

Naturally they didn’t need to look very far to find some cowards with self serving agenda’s that they could interview who would cry ‘the sky is falling!’ about this new citizens group. There have actually been so many stories in the last few days that it’s hard to know where to start.

women marchIn another exceptionally pathetic display by police, a group of Six Nations women including extortionist Ruby Montour and Janie Jamieson (who we all remember telling us how peaceful the terrorists at DCE were in 2006 while a tire fire raged behind her) are being allowed to close a lane of the Red Hill Valley Parkway (Hamilton) and will apparently be allowed to disrupt traffic on the 403 between Hamilton and Brantford today.

German (Mohawk wannabe) Shawn Brant who Canada has refused to keep off the streets led yet another blockade Sunday night. This time it’s the Skyway Bridge to Picton Ontario. The reasoning (and I use that term loosely) being a “protest of solidarity” with the Mohawks who took over the International border crossing at Akwesasne.

Brant was responsible for shutting down the 401 and CN rail line in June 2007, and is well known for giving a speech about attacking the infrastructure of our Country to further his agenda. He has twice been arrested but never charged with Terrorism for his actions which clearly meet the definition of the word in Canadian law.

The result of Canadian impotence in dealing with this overgrown spoiled brat is another occupation at a time when our government should be taking a strong stand against these actions, but instead is attempting to negotiate an end to the illegal occupation of an international border. The effect is an obvious and ever growing emboldening of these criminals who are spreading like wildfire.

In another show of Canada’s apparent impotence in the face of Native terrorism, Canadian border guards abandoned their post this morning on Cornwall Island out of fear for their safety as hundreds of Mohawks moved in.

The Seaway international bridge is now closed because some Natives decided they didn’t like the fact that the border guards were going to be armed beginning today in order to more effectively do their jobs. Perhaps they were afraid this would cut down on their contraband smoke and gun smuggling business, but in any case a relatively small group of people have been allowed to close an international border which in my submission shows how far the situation in Canada has degenerated in the last few years.

One of two things happened in a Hamilton court room this week. Either Julian Fantino lied through his teeth under oath, or he proved that he has the worst memory of anyone I have ever known.

When pressed for details of his extensive involvement in targeting Gary McHale for arrest despite “legal nuances” such as his innocence, Fantino repeatedly answered “I don’t recall”.

A clearly hostile Fantino did however seem to remember Caledonia residents protesting at his home although he couldn’t seem to manage to talk about even that without tossing in some totally false information such as people yelling things as his wife and children.

Crown Attorney David King stood in an Ontario Court of Justice on March 25, 2009 and proclaimed several things to the presiding Justice while refusing to prosecute a charge of Mischief against two Haldimand OPP officers.

#1 there is no reasonable prospect of convicting these officers based on the evidence.

#2 they were simply performing their lawful duty as police officers and keeping the peace by helping to build the fence.

#3 it is not in the best interest of the public to prosecute this case.
