UPDATE: An interesting turn of events essentially shut down this protest / evidence gathering session before it got going. There were no customers at the usually busy illegal smoke shacks around Caledonia. The OPP were out in force searching for anyone but the Native thugs running the shacks to target, and other plans are in the works for the Peacekeepers who will not be going anywhere until each and every one of those shacks is out of business.

The Caledonia Peacekeepers will be paying visits to the illegal smoke shacks in Caledonia today to gather evidence. I will be attending on my own time (this is not a CANACE event) and will be documenting any attempt by the OPP to interfere and any attempt from the smoke shack owners to intimidate the Peacekeepers into leaving.

Having something of a unique perspective on what happens when law abiding citizens confront smoke shacks from December 1 2007, I expect an interesting day to say the least. There are many questions that we should have the answers to by the end of this day.

How will the likes of Jeff Henhawk and Steve Powless who think they are immune to the law and some kind of tough guys react to the fact that their operations are not going to be allowed to fly in the face of Caledonia anymore without repercussions?

Will the OPP actually do their job or will they send in a token few people to allow an ambush by the Natives to take place as they did in December 2007?

Exclusive video from the Caledonia Peacekeepers meeting in Cayuga on June 23, 2009. For best results I recommend buffering the video (if needed) and then playing it full screen in high quality.

CHCH news interviewed Doug Flemming before the event began. I don’t know how much of this they used but it was an excellent interview.

When Caledonia residents gather tonight to hear from Doug Flemming about the forming Caledonia Peace Keepers, CUPE intends to bus in protestors who are in favour of organized crime and support the Men’s Fire. I quoted their release in an earlier story.

Doug Flemming has been in contact with Tom Keefer who is leading the CUPE 3903 protest against law and order tonight and asked him to sit in on the meeting to hear first hand what’s actually going to take place, but Mr. Keefer refused stating that he has no need to hear the facts. He did suggest however that this evening’s meeting be cancelled and he would set up a meeting between Residents / CANACE and the Men’s Fire instead.

As most have heard by now, Doug Flemming is holding a town hall meeting at the Lions Hall in Cayuga tonight to inform the public about the finer details of the forming Caledonia Militia. News of this new group has literally spread across the Country over the past week, and attendance at tonight’s event was expected to be very high. I for one was looking forward to sitting back and watching a nice peaceful militia meeting.

It’s no secret to anyone who has been keeping up with National let alone Caledonia related news lately that some residents have had enough of the lawlessness being endorsed by the OPP and have decided to form an unarmed militia to defend their town. The story has set a fire under National media who have been absent for a long time as the Caledonia crisis continues to unfold.

The newfound attention was bound to come with strings attached however and it has. Some of the media are doing their best to shine a negative light on this as they would anything else residents did to resist the rampant racist lawlessness that has been shoved down their throats for more than 3 years by Native extremists and OPP enablers while the McGuinty government funnels money in the back door to keep the whole production going.

Naturally they didn’t need to look very far to find some cowards with self serving agenda’s that they could interview who would cry ‘the sky is falling!’ about this new citizens group. There have actually been so many stories in the last few days that it’s hard to know where to start.
