New Video – The Caledonia Eight Arrested

For those who have not yet heard, The Caledonia Eight is a group of people who on December 3, 2011 were arrested on Surrey Street in Caledonia because of the color of their skin. A trait over which they have no control.

The group consisting of Gary McHale, Merlyn Kinrade, Randy Fleming, Bonnie Stephens, Jack VanHalteren, Mark Vandermaas, Doug Fleming, & Jeff Parkinson had their freedom taken from them for walkilng down a public road owned by the Corporation of Haldimand County by order of the McGuinty government who does not own the road.

Your participation is requested if you believe that:

1) The O.P.P. is responsible for law enforcement.
2) People should respect by-laws pertaining to building permits, vendor permits and trespassing.
3) No honorable person would sell cigarettes to a twelve year old.
4) An illegal smoke shack at the turn-off to Caledonia is not the same as a “Welcome” sign.
5) A criminal act, if allowed to occur, leads to more criminal acts.

The smoke shacks on Haldimand land are a symptom of a larger problem. Getting rid of them won’t solve the problem but will be a small step in the right direction. This has nothing to do with rights or land claims. This is about unscrupulous people exploiting the fact the O.P.P. is unwilling to enforce the law.”

The day the world didn’t end

After 31 months, 4 arrests, and almost $1 Million spent trying to stop a Canadian flag from being raised on a Canadian hydro pole, the OPP finally relented today and allowed Non Natives to have the same rights as Natives in Caledonia, if only for a brief time. Why they did it is questionable, but I would submit that our intention to come back once each month until they stopped interfering had a lot to do with their decision.

In any case, Caledonia resident Doug Flemming was able to climb a ladder and attach a Canadian flag to a hydro pole across from DCE without interference from the OPP, or the Native occupiers, and the flag raising events in Caledonia have come to an end. The timing couldn’t be better as we have an abundance of other issues to focus on such as illegal smoke shacks and using private prosecution to hold senior officials accountable for their actions over the past few years.

Natives to protest at Militia meeting tonight

As most have heard by now, Doug Flemming is holding a town hall meeting at the Lions Hall in Cayuga tonight to inform the public about the finer details of the forming Caledonia Militia. News of this new group has literally spread across the Country over the past week, and attendance at tonight’s event was expected to be very high. I for one was looking forward to sitting back and watching a nice peaceful militia meeting.

It’s no secret to anyone who has been keeping up with National let alone Caledonia related news lately that some residents have had enough of the lawlessness being endorsed by the OPP and have decided to form an unarmed militia to defend their town. The story has set a fire under National media who have been absent for a long time as the Caledonia crisis continues to unfold.

The newfound attention was bound to come with strings attached however and it has. Some of the media are doing their best to shine a negative light on this as they would anything else residents did to resist the rampant racist lawlessness that has been shoved down their throats for more than 3 years by Native extremists and OPP enablers while the McGuinty government funnels money in the back door to keep the whole production going.

Naturally they didn’t need to look very far to find some cowards with self serving agenda’s that they could interview who would cry ‘the sky is falling!’ about this new citizens group. There have actually been so many stories in the last few days that it’s hard to know where to start.
