Despite harassment from very determined opposition making a desperate effort to stop Gary McHale and Mark Vandermaas from speaking, the Aboriginal Policy forum at Mount Royal University in Calgary was a great success. Not only were they allowed to speak, but both received a hearty hug from Six Nations spokesman and one time DCE occupier Wes Elliot.

Although I was unable to make the trip out west, we still have exclusive video of the presentation, which is what you’re here for so let’s get to it. Please note that these are best viewed at 480p, and may require time to buffer depending on your connection.

In a disgusting show of disrespect for the people who pay his salary, a top crown official in Ontario first tried to wait out CHCH veteran Al Sweeney at the Cayuga courthouse last week, and when he failed at that he simply refused to speak to the media.

Apparently the new position of the Crown who is supposed to represent us is that we’re to be kept in the dark about how they choose to use the authority and abuse the trust that the public places in them. This cowardly move comes after the crown stayed charges against senior OPP officials for their role in targeting activist Gary McHale to be arrested.

Focus Ontario had a great opportunity to sit down with Julian Fantino this week and ask the tough questions with him in studio. There was no place to run, no place to hide, and they absolutely blew it.

Julian sputtered out his usual rhetoric for about 4 minutes as the host sat and listened rather quietly. The song and dance about peacekeeping (are we a failed state?) and being “the meat in the sandwich” gave way only briefly to some new bold lies about arrests, investigations, and a claim that nobody is getting away with anything.

But you’re here because you want to see the interview, so here it is. (more…)

The following exclusive video’s are best viewed full screen at 420p and may take some time to buffer depending on your connection.

As CANACE and Caledonia residents gear up for the final flag raising on Argyle Street in Caledonia, uncertainty about what the OPP will do gives way to a request from the OPP for us to ask permission from the Native occupiers on DCE to hang our flag on public property. Mark Vandermaas wastes no time putting this idea where it belongs and an interesting discussion ensues between Mark and Sgt. Michaud of the OPP.

Exclusive video from the Caledonia Peacekeepers meeting in Cayuga on June 23, 2009. For best results I recommend buffering the video (if needed) and then playing it full screen in high quality.

CHCH news interviewed Doug Flemming before the event began. I don’t know how much of this they used but it was an excellent interview.

I’ve already written about our very interesting day in Deseronto, but I think you really have to see it for yourself to truly appreciate how disgusting the behaviour of the local Mohawks was, so I invite all of you to see for yourselves in these exclusive CANACE videos presented for the first time in both standard and high resolution. Please note that playing these videos in high quality and full screen requires extra time to buffer so I recommend clicking play and then pausing it for a few minutes.

Cindy Welsh tried to explain to the crowd both the purpose of the meeting, and the reason we were meeting in a public park instead of a proper hall.

Gary McHale makes his first attempt to give a presentation to this 99% hostile crowd.
